Application form for RIE-Regional institute of education

 Introduction about RIE -The National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) was established in 1961 by the Ministry of Education, Government of India to prepare quality teachers in Science, Humanities, Commerce, Agriculture and Technology. Consequently, four Regional Colleges of Education at Ajmer, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar and Mysore were established as constituents units of NCERT. Regional College of Education, Ajmer was set up in the year 1963.



Later it was renamed as Regional Institute of Education (RIE), Ajmer in the year 1995. It looks after the educational interests of Northern Region comprising the states of Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Rajasthan, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, the National Capital Territory of Delhi and the Union Territory of Chandigarh, Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh. Ajmer is well-known all over India as a historical and religious place of pilgrimage as well as an educational centre. It owes this reputation partly to the Regional Institute of Education (RIE). The Institute is situated six km. away from the Ajmer Railway Station in midst of idyllic surroundings with the historic Anasagar Lake in front and the Aravali hills all around. It is almost equidistant from the world famous Dargah of Khawaja Moinuddin Chisti beyond the lake and the holy place of Hindu pilgrimage, Pushkar, at the back.This Institute, with its spacious buildings, playgrounds, gardens, lawnsand farm is spread over 110 acres. It is affiliated to the M.D.S. University,Ajmer and its courses are recognised by the NCTE, New Delhi. It is controlled and managed by the NCERT. The management committee, chaired by the Vice-Chancellor of the affiliating university performs the advisory role on matters of academic interest..

The National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) is an autonomous organisation set up in 1961 by the Government of India to assist and advise the Central and State Governments on policies and programmes for qualitative improvement in school education. The major objectives of NCERT and its constituent units are to: undertake, promote and coordinate research in areas related to school education; prepare and publish model textbooks, supplementary material, newsletters, journals and develops educational kits, multimedia digital materials, etc. organise pre-service and in-service training of teachers; develop and disseminate innovative educational techniques and practices; collaborate and network with state educational departments, universities, NGOs and other educational institutions; act as a clearing house for ideas and information in matters related to school education; and act as a nodal agency for achieving the goals of Universalisation of Elementary Education. In addition to research, development, training, extension, publication and dissemination activities, NCERT is an implementation agency for bilateral cultural exchange programmes with other countries in the field of school education. The NCERT also interacts and works in collaboration with the international organisations, visiting foreign delegations and offers various training facilities to educational personnel from developing countries. The major constituent units of NCERT which are located in different regions of the country are: National Institute of Education (#NIE), New Delhi National Institute of Education (NIE), New Delhi Central Institute of Educational Technology (#CIET), New Delhi PanditSundarlal Sharma Central Institute of Vocational Education (#PSSCIVE), Bhopal Regional Institute of Education (#RIE), Ajmer Regional Institute of Education (#RIE), Bhopal Regional Institute of Education (#RIE), Bhubaneswar Regional Institute of Education (#RIE), Mysore North-East Regional Institute of Education (#NERIE), Shillong Inter University Centre for Teacher Education (#IUCTE), RIE Mysuru

Qualification-“already passed candidate” have to enter the marks at the time of application. The candidates, those are appearing in qualifying examination in year 2021 have to enter their mark as per the schedule below: 

a. Last date for submission of qualifying examination marks for 2021 appearing applicants of B.Sc.B.Ed./B.A.B.Ed./M.Sc.Ed. programme is 25/07/2021. 

b. Last date for submission of qualifying examination marks for 2021 appearing applicants of B.Ed./M.Ed. programme 30/07/2021.

Eligibility for B.Sc.B.Ed-

• Candidates seeking admission to Physical Science Group must have passed with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) (M stands for Mathematics or Statistics) and those seeking admission to Biological Science Group (CBZ) must have passed Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (PCB) (B stands for Biology or Biotechnology) at +2 level. 

 • Candidates must have passed +2 / Hr. Sec./ Sr. Sec. or any equivalent examination recognized by University/ Board with at least 50% marks in aggregate of qualifying examination (relaxation of 5% marks for SC/ ST/ PwD/ EWS candidates). The qualifying examination should be recognized by the affiliating universities of the RIEs.

 • Candidates who have passed +2/Hr. Sec./Sr. Sec. or any equivalent examination in 2019, 2020 and appearing/ appeared in 2021, only. Eligibility for M.Sc.Ed. 

• Candidates seeking admission to M.Sc. Ed. (Physics / Chemistry / Mathematics) must have passed with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) (M stands for Mathematics or Statistics) at +2 level. • Candidates must have passed +2 / Hr. Sec./ Sr. Sec. or any equivalent examination recognized by University/ Board with at least 50% marks in aggregate of qualifying examination (relaxation of 5% marks for SC/ ST/ PwD/ EWS candidates). The qualifying examination should be recognized by the affiliating university of RIE Mysuru (University of Mysore). 

• Candidates who have passed +2 / Hr. Sec./ Sr. Sec. or any equivalent examination in 2019, 2020 and appearing/ appeared in 2021 only will be considered. Eligibility for B.A.B.Ed.

 • Candidates must have passed +2/ Hr. Secondary/ Sr. Secondary or equivalent examination in Science and Commerce streams or in Arts streams with at least 50% marks in aggregate (relaxation of 5% marks for SC/ ST/ PwD / EWS candidates) in 2019, 2020 and appearing/ appeared in 2021. Eligibility for B.Ed. 

• Candidates with at least 50% marks in Bachelor’s Degree / Bachelor’s in Engineering or Technology with specialization in Science or Mathematics or in Bachelor’s Degree in Social Science/Humanities/Commerce are eligible for admission to the programme (relaxation of 5% marks for SC/ ST/ PwD /EWS candidates). 

 Eligibility for M.Ed. 

• Candidates seeking admission to the M.Ed. Programme should have obtained at least 50% marks or an equivalent grade (relaxation by 5% for SC/ ST/ PwD/ EWS Candidates) in the following programmes / courses from any University / College / Institute recognized by affiliating universities: 1. B.Ed. 2. B.A.B.Ed./B.A.Ed./, B.Sc.B.Ed. /B.Sc.Ed. 3. B.El.Ed. 4. D.El.Ed. with a Bachelors degree in Arts/Science (With 50% marks in each)

a. Last date for submission of qualifying examination marks for the applicants of B.Sc.B.Ed./B.A.B.Ed./M.Sc.Ed. programme is 25/07/2021. 

 b. Last date for submission of qualifying examination marks for the applicants of B.Ed./B.Ed.M.Ed./M.Ed. programme is 30/07/2021.

• Declaration of Result: 

 a. The result of B.Sc.B.Ed./B.A.B.Ed./M.Sc.Ed. programmes will be declared on 01/08/2021. 

b. The result of B.Ed./M.Ed. programme will be declared on 05/08/2021
